Previously, she was an Associate Manager of Clinical Health Services at Aetna Better Health where she oversaw a team of 20 case managers within the waiver department of Aetna Better Health. She provided daily support to the team for case consultation, access issues, and policy education. She was a Team Lead for Critical Incidents and provided monthly training sessions on the company’s critical incident processes. She also conducted department-wide training sessions regarding procedural updates and assisted with high level projects as assigned. She oversaw the team’s productivity and provided individualized plans for staff who needed improvement.
Previously, Kristina worked in Hospice and provided personalized care to each patient and family. She specialized in Medicare guidelines, crisis intervention, community resources, individualized care planning, advance directives, and interdisciplinary team collaboration. She provided empathy and emotional support to her patients and families on a daily basis.
Before that, Kristina was the Director of the social services department at Symphony Lincoln Park – a nursing and rehab facility that was part of the Symphony Post-Acute Network. She managed the social work staff to ensure compliance of facility, company, and Medicare/ Medicaid/ MCO policies and procedures. Her main focuses included supervision, education, crisis intervention, discharge planning, and individualized care planning.
