PlushBeds Signature Bliss Mattress Review (2026) | Expert Tested

The PlushBeds Signature Bliss earned perfect 10/10 scores for responsiveness and edge support in testing, with 9/10 scores for both motion isolation and cooling from its GOLS-certified Dunlop latex, individually wrapped coil, and organic cotton and wool construction. Its medium and medium-firm options tested well across side, back, and combination sleeping positions, making it the strongest PlushBeds model reviewed for couples, hot sleepers, and eco-conscious shoppers who want certified organic hybrid performance.
Testing Scores
Response Time: 10/10
Motion Isolation: 9/10
Edge Support: 10/10
Cooling: 9/10
Value: 9/10
Overall: 10/10
Pros:
– Scored 10/10 for responsiveness in testing; weights dropped onto the mattress surface returned to their original position immediately with no visible delay, and position changes during overnight testing were effortless in both the medium and medium-firm configurations.
– Scored 10/10 for edge support; the reviewer sat at multiple points along the full perimeter without any compression or balance loss, and lying near the edge in all three tested positions produced stable, consistent support throughout.
– Scored 9/10 for motion isolation; in partner testing, the reviewer’s partner’s restless movements were noticeable but muted rather than jarring, and getting up during the night produced only a slight sensation on the opposite side of the bed.
– Scored 9/10 for cooling; the organic cotton cover, GOTS-certified wool layer, and perforated latex layers kept the sleep surface temperature consistent across extended overnight sessions without heat buildup.
– The mattress arrived in two boxes allowing close examination of each layer during assembly; the reviewer confirmed no adhesive or off-gassing smell, consistent with the GOTS/GOLS certifications.
Cons:
– The medium version tested in the stomach sleeping position allowed more hip sinkage than the reviewer considered ideal; the medium-firm version is the better choice for dedicated stomach sleepers.
– At 14 inches, the Signature Bliss requires deep-pocket sheets and sits significantly taller than most compressed-in-a-box mattresses; this is worth accounting for with current bed frame height and sheet sets.
– The reviewer noted that motion isolation, while strong at 9/10, is not quite as contained as all-foam alternatives at a perfect 10/10; more dramatic movements such as jumping onto the bed were still noticeable on the opposite side.
Why We Picked It
The PlushBeds Signature Bliss earned the highest scores the reviewer has recorded for responsiveness (10/10) and edge support (10/10) among organic hybrid mattresses, with strong cooling (9/10) and motion isolation (9/10) results driven by the Dunlop latex and individually wrapped coil combination. The medium feel worked well across side, back, and combination sleeping positions in testing, and the absence of chemical adhesives, flame retardants, and off-gassing smell confirmed the organic certification claims in practice rather than just on paper. It is the top recommendation among PlushBeds models for couples, hot sleepers, and eco-conscious shoppers who want certified organic hybrid performance.
How the Mattress Feels
The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is available in Medium (5/10) and Medium-Firm (6/10) firmness, and the reviewer tested both. The Medium version sits at a true medium feel with a buoyant, responsive first impression from the Dunlop latex, providing noticeably more give at the shoulder and hip zones than the Medium-Firm. During testing, the reviewer described position changes as effortless in both configurations, with the latex and coil combination adapting immediately rather than lagging behind movement. Side and combination sleepers will find the most comfort in the Medium; back sleepers and lighter stomach sleepers are equally well-served, while heavier stomach sleepers should select the Medium-Firm for better hip support.
What It’s Made Of
The PlushBeds Signature Bliss is a 14-inch organic hybrid mattress built from bottom to top: a pocketed coil support system with individually wrapped coils that move independently, a 3-inch GOLS-certified organic Dunlop latex comfort layer, a GOTS-certified organic British wool layer that serves as the fire barrier and temperature buffer, and a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover with a circular knit design for airflow and moisture wicking. No chemical adhesives, chemical flame retardants, or synthetic foams are used. The mattress ships in two boxes and requires assembly.
Disclosure by Kristina Hindes: The Plushbeds Signature Bliss mattress was provided to me free of charge for the purpose of this review. However, all opinions expressed in this article are my own and based on my personal experience with the mattress.
As a certified sleep science professional and mattress reviewer, Kristina tests every mattress using the same framework: weighted drop tests for responsiveness and motion isolation, seated and perimeter-lying tests for edge support, extended overnight sessions to assess cooling and feel, and systematic sleep-position evaluation across side, back, stomach, and combination sleeping.
For the Signature Bliss, she tested both the Medium and Medium-Firm versions, evaluating how the Dunlop latex and pocketed coil construction performed in each configuration.
When PlushBeds sent me their Signature Bliss mattress for testing and review, I was particularly interested in evaluating how its organic and natural materials would perform against conventional luxury mattresses.
Throughout my extensive testing period, I conducted a comprehensive evaluation of every aspect of this mattress. Beyond simply sleeping on it myself, I performed detailed experiments to measure key performance metrics including edge support, motion isolation, temperature regulation, and responsiveness.
I used calibrated weights for objective testing, conducted thorough temperature assessments, and tested the mattress with my partner to gather both quantitative data and qualitative experiences. Each test was carefully designed to replicate real-world usage while providing measurable, comparable results.
What struck me most during my evaluation was how the Signature Bliss manages to balance premium organic materials with practical performance. The combination of GOLS-certified Arpico latex, individually wrapped coils, and organic cotton and wool layers worked together to create a sleep surface that excelled in nearly every category.
My testing produced the following scores: 10/10 for edge support and responsiveness, and 9/10 for both motion isolation and cooling. The edge support result was the most notable to me: sitting at the full perimeter in multiple positions produced no compression or balance loss, which is not a result I regularly see in hybrid mattresses with soft top comfort layers.
In this detailed review, I’ll share my findings across every aspect of the Signature Bliss’s performance, from its construction and materials to its practical comfort and support capabilities. Whether you’re specifically interested in organic mattresses or simply seeking the best possible sleep surface, my comprehensive testing will help you understand if this mattress is right for you.
- Testing Highlights (10/10 Responsiveness and Edge Support): In my testing, dropped weights returned to their original position immediately with no visible delay, and the perimeter held firm under seated and body-weight tests at every point I checked. These are the two highest scores I recorded for this mattress and both held consistently across the medium and medium-firm configurations.
- Organic Materials Confirmed in Testing: The mattress arrived in two boxes with no chemical off-gassing smell, consistent with the GOTS and GOLS certifications. During assembly I could inspect each layer and confirmed the absence of adhesives and synthetic materials. The organic wool layer serves as the fire barrier in place of chemical flame retardants.
- Position Fit and Couple Suitability: In my testing, side and combination sleeping worked best in the Medium configuration, while the Medium-Firm provided better hip support for stomach sleeping. For couples, the 9/10 motion isolation score held across partner tests including restless turning and getting up mid-night, with disturbance described as a muted awareness rather than a disruptive jolt.
Our Review Process: Each mattress we review undergoes a rigorous evaluation process. We assess comfort, support, cooling, and durability through both subjective experiences and objective tests.
Criteria include pressure relief, spine alignment, mattress responsiveness, motion transfer, edge support, and temperature regulation. This comprehensive approach ensures our reviews are thorough and unbiased.
I. Mattress Layers, Materials, and Construction
Unlike many mattresses I test, this one arrived in two separate boxes—a design choice that reflects its premium construction and customizable nature. Though this meant a slightly more involved setup process, it allowed me to examine each component closely as I assembled the mattress.
Starting at the top, the GOTS-certified organic cotton cover uses a circular knit pattern. When I ran my hand across it, I could feel the texture was more open-woven than standard mattress covers I have tested, which is consistent with its intended airflow function. It did not feel like a dense, heat-trapping fabric.
Beneath the cotton cover is a layer of GOTS-certified organic British wool. This layer functions as the fire barrier, which is why no chemical flame retardants are used. During testing, the wool layer also contributed to surface temperature management. The sleep surface did not build up heat in extended overnight sessions the way it does on mattresses without a natural buffering layer between the cover and foam comfort layers.
The 3-inch GOLS-certified organic Arpico Dunlop latex layer sits above the coil system. When I pressed into it with my hand, it conformed immediately and bounced back within a second of releasing pressure. This is noticeably faster than memory foam surfaces I have tested, which typically take 3-5 seconds to recover. The Dunlop process makes this latex denser than Talalay alternatives, which I could feel as a more substantial, grounded response rather than a bouncy or airy one.
At the core of the mattress is the pocketed coil system, which provides the foundational support. Each coil is individually wrapped in fabric, allowing them to move independently from their neighbors. This design is crucial for both motion isolation and targeted support.
When I pressed on one area of the mattress, I could see how the coils compressed individually rather than creating a wave of movement across the surface.
What I noticed in testing is that these layers do not behave like a simple stack. The latex surface responds quickly to movement, and the coils provide foundational resistance that kept me from sinking past the comfort layers during back and stomach sleeping. At 14 inches, the mattress requires deep-pocket sheets, but the height also reflects the full depth of each layer rather than filler material.
Notably, the mattress achieves this layered construction without using chemical adhesives. Instead, it uses a careful zipping system that keeps everything securely in place while allowing access to the latex layer if needed. This mechanical construction method not only eliminates potential chemical off-gassing but also contributes to the mattress’s long-term durability.
This thoughtful combination of materials and construction techniques explains many of the performance characteristics I observed while testing—from the excellent temperature regulation to the impressive motion isolation and outstanding durability.
Each layer has been chosen not just for its individual properties but for how it contributes to the overall sleep experience.
When my Signature Bliss arrived, I noticed a mild natural material scent during assembly, which I would describe as organic rather than chemical. It was not the sharp synthetic smell I associate with compressed memory foam products. The scent dissipated within a day with normal room ventilation. I did not need to air the mattress out for any extended period before sleeping on it.
II. Sleeping Positions
I evaluated the Signature Bliss across each sleep position across multiple nights, paying attention to where pressure concentrated, whether spinal alignment stayed neutral, and how easy position changes felt. I tested both the Medium and Medium-Firm configurations in each position where the difference was likely to matter.
Side Sleeping
When lying on my side, I noticed how the 3-inch latex layer worked with the pocketed coils to create a cradling effect around my shoulders and hips. These are typically pressure points for side sleepers because they bear more weight.
The medium-firm version I tested provided enough give to let these areas sink in slightly, but not so much that my spine fell out of alignment, which is an ideal balance in a mattress for side sleeping. Think of it like pressing your hand into a firm but giving surface; there’s cushioning, but also a supportive pushback.
When I tested the Medium-Firm version in the side position, there was noticeably less give at the shoulder and hip zones compared to the Medium. Dedicated side sleepers who prefer deeper cushioning at pressure points will find the Medium the better choice. As a mattress for side sleeping, I would direct most side sleepers to the Medium configuration.
Back Sleeping
Rolling onto my back, I experienced a different aspect of the mattress’s gentle support system. The pocketed coils distributed my weight evenly, while the latex layer filled in the natural curve of my lower back.
This is particularly important in mattresses for back sleepers because any gaps between the mattress and your lumbar region can lead to morning stiffness. I found that my spine maintained its natural curve without feeling like I was sinking too deeply into the surface.
The medium firmness created what I’d call a “floating” sensation—not too soft to compromise support, but with enough give to feel cradled.
When I tested the Medium-Firm version in the back position, the lumbar zone felt more reinforced with less hip sinkage compared to the Medium. I would direct heavier back sleepers or those who prefer a firmer surface to the Medium-Firm version. Both configurations worked well as mattresses for back sleepers in my testing, just at different firmness levels.
Stomach Sleeping
For a stomach sleeping mattress, I found the medium version adequate but not ideal. While it prevented excessive hip sinking, I could feel that a bit more firmness would have been beneficial for optimal spinal alignment in this position.
This is where I believe the medium-firm mattress would really shine—its additional firmness would likely provide better support to keep the hips level with the shoulders, preventing the lower back arching that can make stomach sleeping problematic on softer surfaces.
Combination Sleeping
When rolling my way across the surface as a combination sleeper, I found the medium version highly accommodating. This is thanks to the latex’s quick responsiveness that made position changes effortless.
However, I suspect the medium-firm would be equally suitable for combination sleepers, just with a different feel. That it would trade some cushioning for additional support while maintaining the same ease of movement that makes this mattress so versatile.
I would say which of these firmnesses better suit a mattress for combination sleepers would depend on the primary position you fall asleep in.
III. Mattress Responsiveness
When we talk about mattress responsiveness, we’re looking at how quickly a mattress recovers or “bounces back” when you move or change positions. After all, when you shift from your back to your side, you want your mattress to immediately adjust to support your new position, rather than leaving you feeling stuck or waiting for the surface to catch up with your movement.
The mattress’s 10 out of 10 responsiveness score means that it’s always ready to support your next movement without delay. This immediate response is crucial because our bodies naturally shift positions throughout the night to prevent pressure buildup and maintain comfort.
When a mattress responds quickly like the Signature Bliss does, these natural movements happen more smoothly, and we’re less likely to have our sleep disturbed.
My method was simple, but straightforward and effective: I conducted a series of weight tests across different areas of the surface. I dropped weights onto the mattress and carefully observed how quickly it returned to its original position when I removed them.
What impressed me immediately was that there was absolutely no delay. Instead, the mattress surface bounced right back the instant I lifted the weights. While this weight test gave me objective data, I also experienced this exceptional responsiveness firsthand during my nights sleeping on the mattress.
Every time I changed positions (rolling from my back to my side, or shifting to my stomach) the mattress immediately adjusted to support my new position. I never felt stuck or like I was fighting against the surface to move, which can be a common issue with memory foam mattresses.
This exceptional responsiveness comes from two key parts of the mattress’s design. First, there’s the 3-inch layer of natural latex near the top. Natural latex has a springy, rubber-like quality that responds immediately to pressure changes.
Unlike memory foam, which slowly molds to your body and holds that shape for a moment, latex springs back instantly. Below this, the individually wrapped coils provide another layer of quick response, each one able to compress and decompress independently.
The difference in recovery speed is meaningful in practice. When I shifted from my back to my side during overnight testing, the mattress adjusted to my new position immediately. I never had the sensation of needing to pull myself out of the surface before settling in, which I do notice on slower-responding foam mattresses.
This responsiveness is especially relevant for combination sleepers who change positions through the night. In my combination-sleeping sessions, I did not need to consciously reposition against the surface. The mattress adapted as I moved, which is the behavior I look for in a mattress for combination sleepers that earns a 10/10 responsiveness score.
IV. Mattress Motion Isolation
Motion isolation refers to how well a mattress contains movement so it does not transfer to a sleeping partner. I tested this using weighted objects placed on one side of the mattress while I moved on the other, and then ran a real-world partner test to validate the results.
The Signature Bliss earned an impressive 9 out of 10 for motion isolation, showing minimal transfer of motion across the mattress surface.
I used specific methods to simulate real-world sleeping scenarios. First, I placed several weights of different sizes on one side of the mattress. These weights act like a sleeping partner and help me observe how movement transfers across the surface.
Then, I moved around on the opposite side of the bed, carefully watching how much the weights moved or bounced in response to my movements. I started with gentle movements, like slowly rolling from my back to my side, and was impressed by how still the weights remained.
Even when I increased the intensity of my movements (tossing and turning more vigorously, changing positions quickly, and getting in and out of bed) I noticed only minimal movement of the weights.
Then I brought in a partner, to help me further mimic a couple’s sleeping conditions. One of us would remain still, pretending to be asleep, while the other performed various movements that typically occur during the night. This gave us a much more nuanced understanding of the motion transfer than weight testing alone could provide.
My partner tends to be a somewhat restless sleeper who occasionally tosses and turns while finding a comfortable position. On our old mattress, these movements would often wake me up.
On the Signature Bliss, I found I could feel these movements but in a much more muted way – more like a gentle awareness than a disturbing jostle. The individually wrapped coils seemed to contain the motion mostly to my partner’s side of the bed.
Similarly, when I got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night, my partner reported barely feeling any movement. Instead, it was just a slight sensation of shifting that wasn’t enough to disturb their sleep.
Even when I returned to bed, trying to be as gentle as possible but still creating more movement than leaving, they remained undisturbed. This real-world scenario really demonstrated why the mattress earned its high 9 out of 10 score for motion isolation.
What particularly caught my attention was how the individually wrapped coils seemed to absorb my movements locally, preventing them from rippling across to the other side of the mattress.
The latex layer also played an interesting role in the motion isolation. Despite being quite responsive to my own movements (bouncing back quickly when I shifted position), it seemed to dampen the transfer of these movements across the surface.
I found this combination particularly impressive because it’s rare to find a mattress that can be both responsive and good at motion isolation. Usually, you have to sacrifice one for the other.
To really put it to the test, I tried some more dramatic movements by myself and with my partner—sitting down quickly on the edge, getting into bed normally, and even simulating the jarring movement of someone jumping into bed.
While these more extreme actions did cause some motion transfer (hence the 9 out of 10 rather than a perfect score), it was still notably less than what I typically see in most mattresses.

V. Mattress Edge Support
Edge support refers to how stable and supportive a mattress feels when you sit or lie near its perimeter. Think of it like the foundation of a building—strong edges help maintain the mattress’s structural integrity and usability across its entire surface.
For people with mobility challenges, strong edges provide a stable “platform” for getting in and out of bed. Imagine trying to stand up from a surface that keeps collapsing under you – that’s what poor edge support feels like. The Signature Bliss’s stable edges act more like a firm chair edge, giving you something solid to push against when transitioning from sitting to standing.
And for couples sharing a bed, strong edge support effectively increases the usable sleep surface. When mattress edges are weak, couples often avoid sleeping near them, reducing their actual sleeping area. The Signature Bliss’s consistent support means you can comfortably use the entire surface, right up to the edges, without feeling like you might roll off during the night.
And we can’t forget the many people who sit on their bed’s edge while getting dressed or performing other daily activities. The mattress’s strong edge support makes these routine tasks more comfortable and secure.
The Signature Bliss earned a perfect 10 out of 10 score from me for its edge support. When sitting on the edge, there was some natural compression of materials. I could see the fabric bunching slightly, but the support remained solid and stable.
This stability comes from the mattress’s pocketed coil system, which extends all the way to the edges. Unlike some mattresses that become softer near their borders, the Signature Bliss maintains consistent support from center to edge.
This defined edge helps with spatial awareness, particularly important for those with visual impairments or balance issues. You can feel exactly where the mattress edge is, helping prevent accidental falls or misjudgments when getting in or out of bed.
VI. Cooling and Breathability
Temperature regulation during sleep is crucial because our bodies naturally need to cool down to achieve deep, restful sleep. Many of us have tried to fall asleep in a room that’s too warm.
Even the most comfortable mattress won’t help if it’s trapping heat against your body. This is why mattress cooling features matter so much for quality sleep.
I always thoroughly consider coolness when evaluating a mattress, and I would give the Signature Bliss a 9 out of 10 on this front. What impressed me most was how the mattress’s construction creates natural cooling without relying on special gels or phase-change materials.
The organic cotton cover plays a key role here. When I ran my hand across the surface, I could feel how the circular knit pattern creates tiny channels for air movement. It’s similar to how a well-designed running shirt helps keep you cool through its weave pattern.
The latex layer underneath adds another dimension to the cooling properties. Unlike traditional memory foam that can trap heat, the natural latex has an open-cell structure that allows air to flow through. I noticed this most when changing positions during the night. The new spot always felt fresh and cool, suggesting good air circulation through the materials.
However, I should note why it earned a 9 rather than a perfect 10 as a cooling mattress. On particularly warm nights, or after staying in exactly the same position for several hours, I did notice some subtle warmth retention.
Though, it was significantly less than what you’d experience with most foam mattresses. This was most noticeable during humid summer nights when the air itself wasn’t moving much.
I found it maintained a comfortable temperature throughout my normal sleep cycles, only showing its limitations in more extreme conditions. The natural breathability of the materials means you’re unlikely to experience the kind of heat buildup that disrupts sleep, making it an excellent choice for all but the most heat-sensitive sleepers.
For most sleepers, the cooling performance will be more than adequate. And if you need an extra 10-out-of-10 cooling boost, I have a few top-tier recommendations:
VII. Durability and Longevity
Consider two scenarios: buying a less durable mattress that needs replacement every 5-7 years versus investing in a durable mattress that lasts 15-20 years. While the upfront cost of the durable mattress might be higher, the cost per year of use often works out significantly lower.
It’s similar to investing in a high-quality kitchen knife that lasts decades versus buying cheaper ones that need frequent replacement.
And from a health perspective, a mattress that maintains its structural integrity over time provides consistent support for our bodies during sleep.
When a mattress begins to deteriorate, it can develop sags and indentations that alter our sleeping posture. These changes might seem subtle at first, but over time, they can lead to chronic pain and sleep quality issues.
If you’re not quite getting it, think about it like wearing shoes with worn-out soles. While you might not notice the degradation day by day, the cumulative effect on your body can be significant.
Furthermore, in the United States alone, millions of mattresses end up in landfills each year, occupying massive amounts of space and potentially leaching chemicals into the soil and groundwater. Every time a mattress reaches the end of its life, it creates a significant waste management challenge. So the longer a mattress lasts, the better for the earth.
This is why, though I only test my mattresses for a limited amount of time, I always strive to do what I can to estimate its expected durability. It’s perhaps the best way to gauge a mattress’s value. And I would say that the Signature Bliss could easily last more than 10 years and perhaps beyond 20 years with just a bit of basic mattress care.
Now, natural latex is inherently more durable than synthetic foams, primarily because of its molecular structure. While synthetic foams can break down and lose their resilience over time, natural latex maintains its elasticity and support characteristics for many years.
And the Arpico latex used in the Signature Bliss is particularly notable for its durability—it’s processed using the Dunlop method, which creates a denser, more durable form of latex compared to other processing methods.
The wool in the mattress also plays a big part in making it last longer. Wool fibers have a natural crimp that allows them to compress and bounce back repeatedly without losing their structure. They’re like mattress springs, squishing down and popping back up without getting damaged. This bouncy quality helps the mattress keep its shape and stay comfortable for many years.
Wool is really good at handling moisture. Just like a good workout shirt pulls sweat away from your body, wool moves moisture away from the inside of the mattress.
This is important because when moisture gets trapped in a mattress, it can make materials break down faster, kind of like how a wet cardboard box gets weak and mushy. Even worse, trapped moisture might lead to mold growing inside the mattress, which nobody wants in their bed!
Literally topping it all off, the organic cotton cover is designed to withstand regular use without degradation. The circular knit design allows for flexibility without compromising the fabric’s strength.
Plus, the organic cotton fibers typically maintain their structure better than conventionally grown cotton due to the absence of harsh chemical treatments that can weaken fiber integrity.
So think of a durable mattress that won’t sag as an investment in both personal and planetary health. It’s one of those rare instances where what’s best for us individually aligns perfectly with what’s best for the environment.
Just as we’re beginning to understand the importance of reducing fast fashion and disposable products in other areas of our lives, the same principle applies to our sleeping surfaces.
VIII. Potential Drawbacks
Every mattress, even one as well-crafted as the Signature Bliss, comes with certain limitations that might make it less suitable for some sleepers. While many of these drawbacks reflect the natural trade-offs that come with premium materials and organic construction, it’s important to understand them clearly before making such a significant investment in your sleep comfort.
When evaluating a mattress’s drawbacks, I find it helpful to think about them in terms of practical limitations versus preference-based concerns.
Some limitations, like the mattress height or weight, present objective challenges that might affect your daily interaction with the mattress. Other aspects, like the distinctive feel of latex or the firmness options, are more subjective and depend on your personal preferences and needs.
Limited Firmnesses
The firmness options are somewhat limited, offering only medium and medium-firm choices. Now while these are easily the most versatile mattress firmnesses, they could be problematic for sleepers at either end of the preference spectrum.
Those who need an extra-firm mattress for medical reasons or personal preference won’t find that option here. Similarly, people who prefer a very plush, soft sleeping surface might find even the medium option too firm for their liking.
Not All Enjoy Latex
The latex component, while excellent for responsiveness and durability, brings its own considerations. Some people simply don’t like the distinctive bouncy feel of latex.
If you’re used to the slow, conforming sink of memory foam, the quick response of latex might feel too springy.
Furthermore, while the latex is wrapped in organic cotton and wool layers, people with severe latex allergies might still have concerns about using a latex-containing mattress.
Mattress Height Can Be Too Tall
The 14-inch height of the mattress, while luxurious, presents some practical challenges. For people with mobility issues or those who use adjustable bed frames, this taller profile can make it harder to get in and out of bed.
The height might also mean your existing deep-pocket sheets won’t fit properly. You’ll likely need extra-deep fitted sheets to accommodate the thickness, which adds to the overall cost of ownership.
Expensive Price Tag
The price point, while competitive within the organic luxury mattress market, represents a significant investment that might be out of reach for many shoppers. The higher upfront cost could exclude shoppers on tighter budgets, compared to conventional mattresses.
If it helps, think of it like buying organic produce. You’re paying more for higher quality and better environmental practices, but that premium isn’t feasible for every budget.
Heavy Mattress
Naturally, with the bed being tall and relying on dense latex foam, you can expect this mattress to be heavy. But just how heavy it is might surprise you.
| Botanical Bliss Size | Mattress Weight |
|---|---|
| Twin Size | 81 Pounds |
| Twin XL Size | 104 Pounds |
| Full Size | 141 Pounds |
| Queen Size | 161 Pounds |
| King Size | 208 Pounds |
| California King Size | 208 Pounds |
The weight of the mattress can make setup challenging. You absolutely need two people for installation, and moving the mattress afterward (for instance, during house moves, or even just normal chores like lifting it to change sheets and rotating the bed) requires significant effort.
IX. Trial Period, Warranty, Pricing, and Sizes
When you’re spending a significant amount on a mattress, it’s essential to know how the company stands behind their product and what protections you have as a consumer. PlushBeds offers several customer-friendly policies that help ensure you’re making a confident and secure purchase.
These policies are designed to address common concerns about buying a mattress online, where you can’t try it in person first, and to provide long-term protection for your investment.
Sleep Trial
When you buy a new mattress from PlushBeds, they want to make sure you really love it. That’s why they let you try out the mattress in your own home for 100 nights. That’s more than three months! In my experience, this is much better than just lying on a mattress for a few minutes in a store.
During your 100-night trial, you have two choices if you’re not totally happy with your mattress.
First, you can get what’s called a “comfort exchange.” This means if your mattress feels too soft or too firm, PlushBeds will send you a new top layer for free.
It’s like changing the cushion on your favorite chair to make it more comfortable. When you get the new layer, you can take off the old one and put on the new one. You’ll need to send the old layer back to PlushBeds, though.
Second, if you try the mattress for at least 30 days and still don’t like it, you can return it for your money back. PlushBeds will help you send it back, though they do charge $149 to pick up the mattress from your home and take it to be recycled (so it’s not quite a mattress with a free sleep trial).
And keep in mind that when your new mattress arrives at your house, you should try sleeping on it for at least 30 nights. This is important because your body needs time to get used to the new mattress.
Think about it like getting new shoes; sometimes they need a little time to feel just right.
There are a few important things to remember:
- You must open your new mattress within 30 days of getting it
- You can only try one PlushBeds mattress per year in your home
- If you live in Alaska, Hawaii, or outside the United States, you might have to pay extra shipping costs
- If you get any free items with your mattress (like pillows or sheets), you can keep them even if you return the mattress
Remember, most people (98 out of 100, according to Plushbeds!) end up loving their new mattress. But it’s nice to know you have plenty of time to make sure it’s perfect for you.
Warranty
I’ll explain PlushBeds’ warranty in clear, simple terms to help you understand what’s covered and for how long.
When you buy a PlushBeds bedroom mattress, it comes with what’s called a “Limited Lifetime Warranty.” This means the company promises to protect you against manufacturing defects and problems with materials for as long as you own the mattress. However, there are some important details about how this warranty works.
For the first 10 years after you buy your mattress, PlushBeds will completely repair or replace your mattress if there’s a manufacturing defect. They’ll do this at no cost to you.
Think of this like getting a broken appliance fixed while it’s still under warranty. If something goes wrong that’s the company’s fault, they’ll take care of it.
After those first 10 years, the warranty continues, but works differently. If problems develop, PlushBeds will either repair the mattress for a handling fee or replace it for a portion of the original price.
The replacement cost starts at 50% of the mattress price and increases by 3% each year after that, though it will never go above 99% of the current retail price. This is similar to how car warranties often cover less as the car gets older.
The warranty only applies to the original buyer and can’t be passed on to someone else if you give away or sell the mattress. You’ll need to show proof that you bought the mattress to use the warranty.
However, not everything is covered by this warranty. Here are some important things the warranty doesn’t cover:
- Normal wear and tear of the mattress cover
- Small body impressions (less than 1.5 inches deep)
- Personal comfort preferences
- Stains or damage from spills
- Damage from improper cleaning or storage
- Problems caused by not having the right support under your mattress
To keep your warranty valid, you need to take proper care of your mattress:
- Use a waterproof mattress protector
- Keep the mattress away from direct heat and sunlight
- Support it properly (using a base with wide enough slats and enough support legs)
- Open the mattress within 30 days if it comes compressed
- Store it in a cool, dry place
- Clean it gently and properly if needed
One interesting thing about PlushBeds mattresses is that unlike traditional mattresses, you don’t need to flip or rotate them regularly. The latex material they use doesn’t develop deep pressure points like other materials do. You can flip just the top comfort layer if you want to, but not the entire mattress.
If you ever have a problem that you think should be covered by the warranty, you can contact PlushBeds by phone or email to make a claim. It’s important to understand that some states have different rules about warranties, so your specific rights might vary depending on where you live.
Remember, this warranty is designed to protect you against manufacturing problems, not normal wear and tear or damage from improper use. Taking good care of your mattress will help ensure it lasts longer and stays covered under the warranty.

The Signature Bliss comes in all standard mattress sizes. The mattress is notably thicker than many standard mattresses that typically range from 10-12 inches. I found that this extra height provides more room for comfort layers and support.
| Signature Bliss Size | Dimensions | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Twin Size | 38 inches wide by 75 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,049 |
| Twin XL Size | 38 inches wide by 80 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,099 |
| Full Size | 54 inches wide by 75 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,199 |
| Queen Size | 60 inches wide by 80 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,349 |
| King Size | 76 inches wide by 80 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,599 |
| California King Size | 72 inches wide by 84 inches long by 14 inches tall | $3,599 |
| Split King Size | Two mattresses 38 inches wide by 80 inches long by 14 inches tall | $4,848 |
When we compare the pricing to competitors, the Signature Bliss sits in the premium category. It’s more expensive than many mainstream mattresses that typically range from $1,000 to $2,000.
However, this price point is actually competitive within the natural and organic latex mattress category. Similar organic latex mattresses from brands like Avocado or Saatva often price between $2,500 and $4,000 for a queen size.
X. Customer Reviews
Every time I test a mattress, I read customer reviews because they tell me what real people think about what they bought with their own money. Unlike stores or salespeople who want to sell mattresses, customers tell me what it’s really like to sleep on a mattress night after night.
They share if the mattress helped with their back pain, if they stay cool while sleeping, and if it’s worth the money they paid. When many people say the same good or bad things about a mattress, I know it’s true and not just one person’s opinion. This helps me give better advice to people looking for a new mattress that will help them sleep well.
And when it comes to the Signature Bliss, customers consistently praise the mattress’s combination of plush comfort and robust support. Cecilia H. notes that the “organic Dunlop latex… really does mold to the contours of your body, providing unparalleled comfort and support.”
This sentiment is echoed by Linda S., who specifically purchased it for back pain and reports “waking up with less pain and stiffness.”
Brynna G. highlights the technical aspects that contribute to this comfort, mentioning “the 5-zoned fabric-encased coil system core provides excellent support, while the 3-inch plush pillow top layer of organic latex adds a level of comfort.”
Several customers specifically mention the cooling properties. Milda G., a self-described hot sleeper, shares that “the organic British wool layer ensures that the mattress breathes naturally and helps maintain a comfortable temperature all night long.”
Bradley G. complements this by noting the “soft, inviting organic cotton cover” is “incredibly breathable” and effectively wicks away moisture.
The mattress’s motion isolation capability receives strong praise from couples. Zack E. provides a particularly detailed account, describing how they were initially skeptical of the “zero motion transfer” feature but found it to be “a game-changer,” allowing their partner to move without disturbing their sleep.
This feature is also noted by Noa T., who appreciates being able to “sleep peacefully, even with a partner who moves around a lot.”
The edge support feature receives specific praise, particularly from Darryl L., who explains that the “5-zoned fabric-encased coil system provides excellent support throughout, but the edge support is where it really shines.” This feature is especially valued for activities like reading or working in bed, preventing the feeling of potentially falling off the edge.
The mattress’s organic materials are frequently cited as a significant benefit. Judy M., who describes herself as “very sensitive to ‘chemicals’,” finds the mattress “wonderful.”
Noa T., who struggles with allergies, reports it’s “the first mattress I have found that doesn’t cause any allergic reactions.”
The use of certified organic wool and cotton is repeatedly mentioned as a selling point, with Danielle K. specifically appreciating that the mattress is “made with certified organic wool and cotton.”
The purchasing experience appears to be consistently positive. Karen M. notes that “customer service was excellent” and “delivery was fast and hassle-free.”
David E. provides a comprehensive overview of the service experience, noting that “the ordering process was simple, and the customer service team was friendly and knowledgeable” and “the delivery team was professional and efficient.”
While the mattress is positioned as a premium product with a higher price point, multiple reviewers like Karen M. conclude it’s “worth every penny.” This is echoed by the comprehensive positive feedback across comfort, support, temperature regulation, motion isolation, and material quality aspects of the mattress.
The consistent themes across these reviews suggest to me that the Signature Bliss mattress particularly excels for couples, those with back pain or allergies, and customers who prioritize organic materials and temperature regulation in their sleep environment.
XI. Environmental Impact
When I think about buying a mattress, I have to consider that I’ll spend about a third of my life on it—roughly eight hours every single day. In that daily contact, whatever materials are in my mattress will be interacting with my body through direct touch, through the air I breathe, and through the microenvironment created around me as I sleep.
This means my mattress choice isn’t just about abstract concepts of sustainability. It’s directly connected to my personal wellbeing and the health of my home environment.
But beyond my immediate personal space, my mattress choice has rippling effects that I can’t ignore. Traditional mattress manufacturing often involves petroleum-based foams, chemical flame retardants, and synthetic materials that not only persist in landfills for decades but also impact the health and wellbeing of the workers who make them.
When I choose a mattress made with organic materials and sustainable practices like the Signature Bliss, I’m supporting agricultural methods that protect soil health, preserve water quality, and provide safer working conditions for farmers and factory workers.
Certified Organic Materials
Rather than simply ordering materials from the lowest bidder, PlushBeds maintain direct relationships with their suppliers, regularly meeting with them worldwide to ensure sustainable harvesting practices are maintained.
The mattress starts with a GOTS-certified organic cotton cover, which represents a significant environmental advantage over conventional cotton. GOTS certification ensures the cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, reducing water pollution and soil degradation.
This organic farming approach typically uses 88% less water and 62% less energy than conventional cotton production, while also promoting biodiversity and healthier soil ecosystems.
The wool component, which is GOTS-certified organic British wool, provides natural temperature regulation while supporting sustainable agriculture practices. Wool farming, when done organically as required by GOTS certification, helps maintain grasslands that serve as important carbon sinks.
These sheep grazing practices help prevent soil erosion and promote natural fertilization. Plus wool is fully biodegradable at the end of the product’s life cycle, unlike synthetic temperature-regulating materials.
A particularly significant environmental feature is the GOLS-certified organic Arpico latex. This natural latex comes from sustainably managed rubber trees, which can produce sap for up to 30 years while creating forest ecosystems that sequester carbon.
While that’s already good, the GOLS certification ensures the latex is harvested using environmentally responsible methods that protect both the trees and surrounding ecosystems. Unlike petroleum-based synthetic latex, this organic latex is renewable and biodegradable.
And PlushBeds is one of only six manufacturers in the U.S. to achieve this dual certification.
Eco-Friendly Assembly and Manufacturing
The mattress’s construction notably avoids common environmental hazards found in conventional mattresses. It uses no chemical adhesives, synthetic flame retardants, or petrochemical-based materials.
Instead, it relies on mechanical construction methods and natural fire barriers like wool, significantly reducing the release of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and other harmful emissions both during manufacturing and throughout the product’s life.
The manufacturing process takes place in PlushBeds’ 80,000-square-foot California factory. This local production reduces the transportation carbon footprint compared to mattresses manufactured overseas.
The factory’s certification ensures strict environmental standards are maintained throughout production, including proper waste management and energy efficiency measures. They’ve invested in specialized European machinery and techniques that help minimize waste and environmental impact during production.
Longevity of Use Minimizes Waste
The durability of the Signature Bliss, backed by a lengthy lifetime warranty, also contributes to its sustainability profile. A longer-lasting mattress means fewer replacements over time, reducing waste and resource consumption.
And when the mattress does reach the end of its life, its natural and organic materials are more environmentally friendly to dispose of than synthetic materials, though specific recycling options may vary by location.
Social Programs
On the social responsibility front, PlushBeds has maintained several meaningful initiatives since 2008.
They run a scholarship program specifically focused on environmental education, providing financial support to students who want to make a difference in environmental conservation. This shows a commitment to fostering the next generation of environmental leaders.
They also ensure fair labor practices throughout their supply chain. Their GOTS and GOLS certifications require adherence to strict labor standards, including fair wages and safe working conditions.
XII. Maintenance and Care
Think of mattress care as being similar to caring for a wooden floor or a nice piece of furniture. If you treat it well and clean it properly, it will stay beautiful and work well for a very long time. But if you neglect it or use the wrong cleaning products, you might damage it and need to replace it sooner than you should.
The good news is that caring for your PlushBeds mattress isn’t difficult or time-consuming. Most of these tasks take just a few minutes, and some only need to be done every few months.
We’ve broken down all the steps into simple actions that are easy to follow and remember. You’ll learn about protecting your mattress from spills and stains, keeping it clean, making sure it gets enough fresh air, and even how to handle any small accidents that might happen.
By following these simple guidelines, you’ll help your mattress stay comfortable and supportive for many peaceful nights of sleep.
Use a Mattress Protector
The most important thing you can do is put a waterproof mattress protector on it as soon as your Signature Bliss arrives at your home and is unboxed.
The protector will stop sweat, spills, and dirt from getting into your mattress. Think of this like putting a raincoat on your mattress—it keeps all the bad stuff out, which can warp your materials.
Keep a Clean Bed
To keep your mattress clean, you should wash your sheets every week. This is important because our bodies leave behind sweat, dead skin cells, and oils when we sleep.
When you wash your sheets, take a minute to vacuum your mattress with the soft brush attachment. This helps remove any dust that got through your sheets.
And if you happen to spill something on your mattress, don’t panic. Use a clean cloth with a tiny bit of mild soap and water to gently dab the spot. Don’t use too much water, though. You don’t want your mattress to get soaking wet.
After cleaning the mattress, let the spot dry completely before putting your sheets back on. Never use strong cleaning products or vinegar on your mattress, as these can damage it.
Rotate Regularly
Unlike some older traditional mattresses, you don’t need to flip your PlushBeds mattress over. It’s designed with special layers that should stay in the right order.
However, if you want to, you can rotate your mattress every six months. This means turning it around so that what was at the head of your bed is now at the foot of your bed. Doing this chore helps to even out wear and tear on the surface of your mattress.
Air Out the Bed
Your mattress needs fresh air, just like we do. In the morning, pull back your covers for about 15 minutes while you get ready for the day. This lets any moisture from your body evaporate. You can also turn on a fan or open a window to help with this.
But keep your mattress away from direct sunlight and heat. Don’t put it right next to a heating vent, and never use strong heat like irons or hair dryers directly on the mattress. If you use an electric blanket, that’s fine as long as it doesn’t touch any natural latex parts of your mattress.
XIII. Conclusion
After testing the Signature Bliss mattress in many different ways, I can tell you that this is one of the best mattresses I’ve ever tried. That’s why I gave it a perfect 10 out of 10 overall score.
The natural materials, like the organic cotton cover and latex layer, work together like a well-practiced team to help you get great sleep. Just like a comfortable pair of shoes that fit just right, this mattress seems to know exactly how to make your body feel good no matter how you like to sleep.
Yes, it costs more than some other mattresses, but it’s like buying a really good bike that will last for years instead of a cheap one that breaks quickly. The materials are super high quality, it’s made in a way that’s good for the earth, and it’s built to last a very long time.
Plus, the company stands behind their mattress with a lifetime warranty, which shows how much they trust their product.
Remember, a good mattress is like a good night’s sleep in furniture form. And the Signature Bliss definitely lives up to its name by giving you both comfort and peace of mind about your choice.

XIV. FAQs
What can I expect from a luxury latex mattress?
A luxury latex mattress like the Signature Bliss offers a unique combination of support and gentle give that many describe as “floating” rather than sinking in like traditional memory foam. The natural latex responds instantly to movement and pressure changes, making it easier to shift positions during the night without feeling stuck or having to struggle against the mattress.
Beyond the immediate comfort, you can expect exceptional durability since natural latex maintains its supportive properties for many years, unlike synthetic foams that can break down and develop permanent impressions over time.
Are there health concerns with the Signature Bliss?
While some people worry about latex allergies, the latex used in mattresses is processed in a way that removes the proteins that typically cause allergic reactions, making it safe for most people with latex sensitivities.
The Signature Bliss takes additional precautions by encasing the latex layers in organic cotton and wool, creating multiple protective barriers between the sleeper and the latex core. Furthermore, natural latex actually offers several health benefits: it’s naturally antimicrobial, resistant to dust mites and mold, and free from the off-gassing chemicals commonly found in synthetic mattress materials.
Is the Signature Bliss good for side sleepers?
Yes, the Signature Bliss mattress works really well for people who sleep on their side. When sleeping on your side, your shoulders and hips create pressure points where your body weight concentrates against the mattress surface.
To address this, the mattress combines layers of latex and supportive coils that work together to distribute this pressure more evenly. The latex layers conform to your body’s shape, while the coils underneath provide targeted support that helps keep your spine properly aligned.
This combination is particularly effective because it offers both the cushioning that side sleepers need for their shoulders and hips, and the support required to maintain good sleeping posture throughout the night.
How does the Signature Bliss handle back pain?
The Signature Bliss addresses back pain through its carefully engineered combination of support layers that work together to maintain proper spinal alignment.
The individually wrapped coils provide targeted support that adjusts to your body’s weight and movement, while the latex layers above conform to your shape without allowing excessive sinking that could throw your spine out of alignment.
The mattress’s zoned support system means it can offer firmer support in the areas where back pain typically originates (like the lumbar region) while still providing comfortable pressure relief in other areas, creating a balanced sleeping surface that helps reduce and prevent back pain.
Is it worth buying an organic mattress?
Traditional mattresses contain synthetic materials and chemical flame retardants that can emit harmful compounds, while organic mattresses use natural materials like organic cotton, wool, and latex that are free from these chemicals.
Though organic mattresses cost more upfront, they typically last much longer. Natural latex can maintain its support for up to 20 years, compared to synthetic materials that might break down in 5-7 years. This means the cost per year of use is often lower, while providing better health benefits and environmental impact through sustainable materials and manufacturing.
